Time to think about the liver and detoxifying?
Please join us on Tuesday
April 3rd, 2012 at 4pm pacific / 7pm eastern as we host Sheila Dean, DSC, RD,
LD, CCN, CDE for a webinar entitled “Diet, Detox and Drug Muggers.”
Dr. Dean will be
discussing how food, medications, and a typical lifestyle tax our liver and
overall health. She'll discuss how the liver detoxifies these substances
through a two-stage system, called Phase 1 and Phase 2 Biotransformation and
Detoxification. She'll also discuss how our genetic potential can enhance
or impede our ability to detoxify. She'll discuss current information on
how a SNP (single nucleotide polymorphism) can affect your ability to
detoxify. And finally she'll discuss the basic concept behind functional
assessment so that you can discover your own genetic roadmap.
