A medical anthropologist and certified nutritionist, Dr. Susan E. Brown has consulted widely on socioeconomic, cultural, educational and health issues. She has taught in North and South American universities and has authored numerous academic and popular articles.
Dr. Brown received her Ph.D. from the University of Michigan in 1972 and is the recipient of two Fulbright-Hays Scholar Awards, and an Organization of American States Research Fellowship. She is also a member of Sigma Xi, the honorary Scientific Research Organization of North America.
Currently, Dr. Brown directs the Better Bones Foundation and the Center for Better Bones in Syracuse, NY, conducting primary research, lectures on osteoporosis prevention and reversal, and teaching the use of a holistic, natural program for the regeneration of bone health. The Center for Better Bones provides consulting, education, research, and lecture services for health professionals and the public. Since 2008, Dr. Brown has partnered with Women’s Health Network in Portland, ME, to create the world’s most informative bone health website, http://www.betterbones.com.
