Karen Lyke earned her MS in Human Nutrition from the University of Bridgeport  and qualified as a CCN - Board Certified Clinical Nutritionist - in 2001.  Having studied macrobiotics and taught both nascent acupuncturists and massage therapists, she combines her love for biochemistry with more poetic perspectives, and is an ardent fan of Weston A Price's work.  She completed her DSc with Hawthorn University in 2013, and has been faculty with Hawthorn since 2008.  She resides in NW Ohio with her husband, and a small ménage of chickens and sheep in a large organic vegetable garden.
