Watch The Gift of Disease: How Illness Shaped and Defined My Career Path with Missy Beavers, MS (All About Alumni Webinar Presentation)

Hawthorn University graduate Missy Beavers' interest in health began when she was diagnosed with an autoimmune thyroid disease at the age of 8 years old. This was the gift that sparked the lifelong search for answers to her health struggles. When her husband was diagnosed with leukemia, it threw her passion into overdrive and she sought out every opportunity to learn about the immune system. She has put her MSTN degree from Hawthorn University to good use in developing a protocol to restore immune function and reverse symptoms of disease through healing the gut. After 28 years of taking thyroid medication, Missy is now prescription free and thrives on helping others regain their health as she has done.

Hawthorn University welcomes Missy Beavers, MS for her All About Alumni presentation The Gift of Disease: How Illness Shaped and Defined My Career Path. Missy's webinar recording may now be viewed in the Hawthorn All About Alumni Webinar Archives.

In this presentation Missy will give us behind-the-scenes details on how she purchased her own health food store, grew a thriving practice, and developed a leaky gut protocol, which is now launched online with its own app. She teaches that it is our thoughts and beliefs that provide us with the results we seek. We are all capable of amazing things!

Missy Beavers graduated with a Master of Science in Traditional Nutrition from Hawthorn University in June of 2016. She owns the Health Habit, which is a health food and supplement store nestled in a tiny rice farming community in Northern California. Her love and passion is focused on healing the gut to reverse symptoms of autoimmune disease and create vibrant health. She owns http://www.thehealthynavel.com, which is Missy’s 12-week protocol to seal the gut, kill any pathogens that are causing problems and heal the relationship between the mind and body.

She and her husband have a 3-year-old son and two big dogs, who might as well be counted as children. Missy adores her business, store, family, and life in a small town. She works with clients all over the nation and enjoys helping others find abundant health through healing the gut, mind and body.

Missy can be contacted via her website at https://thehealthynavel.com and via email at info@thehealthynavel.com.

Watch Mood and Neurodegenerative Disorders: Chronic Inflammation and Disturbances in Tryptophan Metabolism with Jeffrey Moss, DDS, CNS, DACBN

Many of us have a friend or loved one that suffers from some sort of neurobehavioral or neurodegenerative illness. It is generally regarded by both the allopathic and alternative medicine communities that neurobehavioral illnesses, such as depression, and neurodegenerative illnesses, such as Alzheimer’s disease, are very different ailments – both symptomatically and metabolically. In fact, a large body of research suggests that neurobehavioral and neurodegenerative illnesses are different points on the exact same catabolic, inflammatory, insulin resistant, metabolically suboptimal spectrum.  In turn, clinical depression is an excellent early indicator of risk of developing Alzheimer’s disease. Please join us as we welcome back Jeffrey Moss, DDS, CNS, DACBN, for Mood and Neurodegenerative Disorders: Chronic Inflammation and Disturbances in Tryptophan Metabolism. Dr. Moss' webinar recording is now available to review in the Hawthorn Webinar Archives.
