How does our microbiome affect our autoimmune system? Recent research has implicated the microbiome as a potentially major contributing factor in the development of various autoimmune conditions. Increased intestinal permeability (a.k.a. “leaky gut”) and gut inflammation have also been linked to autoimmunity. Please join us as we welcome Tom Fabian, PhD, CNTP for Microbial Mischief: The Microbiome-Autoimmune Connection. Tom Fabian's webinar recording is now available to review HERE.
In this presentation, we explore how these important factors are inter-related, and how they can be assessed with the latest gut and microbiome testing methodology. With this information in hand, we will discuss how a microbiome-centered approach may be implemented to optimize nutritional support for individuals dealing with autoimmune conditions.
